Coffee

What type of grind should I choose?

Image description Image description

The type of grind varies depending on the type of machine you use to prepare your coffee. At Casa Angola we offer four types of grinding:

Extra fine grinding must be used when preparing Turkish coffee, as the coffee powder is not strained.

Fine grind
should be used in espresso machines. The ideal preparation time for an espresso is 25 to 30 seconds, so if your coffee takes more or less time to extract, you need to adjust the grinding of the beans.

Medium grind
should be used when preparing coffee with a French press. By using coffee beans ground to a medium thickness, you will be able to prepare a smoother and more flavored coffee. The French press method forces hot water to come into contact with the ground coffee beans for a maximum period of 3 minutes and this time is enough for all the main characteristics of the coffee beans to be absorbed

Coarse grinding
of coffee beans should be used when preparing mocha coffee. This grinding method allows the extraction of tasty, strong and full-bodied coffee.

How to make the best coffee?

Image description Image description

To get a good coffee, start by choosing your favorite Casa Angola coffee bag or blend, preferably freshly ground to enhance the aromas and flavors. Select the ideal grind type for your espresso machine or Moka coffee maker.

The recommended amount of coffee is mentioned on the pages of the respective products, but you can adjust it to your personal taste. Preferably use still mineral water and always scald your cup.

After enjoying your coffee, close the packaging tightly and store it in a cool, dry place away from light.

How many coffees does 1kg of coffee beans make?

Image description Image description

The duration of your bag of coffee may vary according to the preparation method and each person's preference in terms of intensity. On average, 7 to 8 grams of coffee are used for a cup of coffee, which means that a 1kg bag can produce aproximately 140 coffees.

How can I grind coffee beans?

Image description Image description

If you have a coffee grinder at home, you can grind your beans only when you need them, ensuring the best aroma and freshness. Remember to adjust the grind to the type of machine you use. We recommend that you only grind the amount needed for the moment, avoiding storing ground coffee for long periods.

If you don't have a grinder, you can order freshly ground coffee in our physical store, simply indicating the desired grind. In our online store, you can also order coffee ground to your liking: simply select the type of grind on the chosen product and add it to the cart.
